As part of this year’s event, the partnering organizations have launched the “Adopt a Classroom” campaign. The purpose of the campaign is to ensure that all school supplies purchased fully benefit teachers and students.
Here’s how it works:
Adopt a Classroom: A $250 contribution will provide school supplies for one Terrell ISD classroom.
Adopt a Grade: A $4,500 contribution will provide school supplies for an entire grade.
Adopt a School: A contribution of $9,000 will provide school supplies for an entire elementary or middle school of your choice. A contribution of $18,000 will provide a set of school supplies for the entire high school.
Before the first day of school, each teacher will receive a gift box filled with student school supplies to keep in their classroom. The box will also include a note with information about the individual, business, or local organization that adopted their classroom. The donor will also receive a poster with information about the classroom, grade, or school they adopted.
All donations for the “Adopt a Classroom” campaign will be exclusively allocated for the purchase of classroom school supplies for students. All contributions will be collected by the Terrell Share Center, located at 103 Jones Street, Terrell, TX 75160. Please make checks payable to “Citywide Back-to-School Fair.”
