Terrell Senior Community Church will be hosting the Back The Blue Terrell Cookout fundraiser for the Terrell Police Department on Sunday August 7 between 4pm and 8pm in Ben Gill Park. There will be live entertainment and prayers. It is $5 for children 12 and under and $10 for adults.

“The goal is to raise money for The Terrell Police Department to purchase needed equipment to help protect those who protect us. They are looking for help from the Terrell community providing activities for the children and helping to sponsor the fundraiser. We need to show them that we have their back, now let’s show them that we have them covered!” Said organizer Maggie Peeler. “We are requesting help from businesses, churches and community organizations of Terrell to pitch in and lend a hand in any way possible. Whether that means donating a basket for the raffle, setting up an activity for the children, decorations, set up or what ever it is” she continues.

City Hall is waiving the rental fee for the pavilion, Terrell Chamber of Commerce is helping coordinate efforts, Terrell Police Department is providing security, Terrell Healthcare is providing a hydration station and Terrell Senior Terraces is providing newspaper ads and other needed funds just to mention some participants.

“We are hoping to find people willing to donate the needed flyers, signs and banners to put up around town, prizes for the raffle drawing and activities
for the children and much more.

A business can host a table or activity where they can advertise but not sell. All profit will go strictly to the Terrell Police Department.
