Dr. Gwendolyn Kines-McLeod has been recognized as this year’s Biological and Environmental Sciences Alumni Ambassador.
Gwendolyn Kines-McLeod is a native of Terrell, Texas, where she graduated valedictorian of her high school class. She attended Texas A&M University-Commerce, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1999, and her master’s in 2001. Dr. Kines-McLeod went on to graduate with honors from Baylor College of Dentistry, and received her D.D.S. in 2005. Following graduation, she opened her dental practice in Terrell, where she just celebrated her 10th year of private practice.
Dr. Kines-McLeod enjoys helping others and giving back to her community. She has provided free dental extractions to over 1000 indigent patients through her Love Revival Clinic. An animal lover, she is a member of the nonprofit group Supporters of the Terrell Animal Adoption Center which works to improve the lives of the animals in the local shelter.
Dr. Kines-McLeod is married to the love of her life, Tim McLeod. They love to travel and their goal is to make it to all 50 states within 10 years and have visited 13 so far. When they are home, they love spending time with their family, friends and pets. Gwendolyn loves to cook and Tim lives to entertain.
