TPD Press Release: Narcotics Search Warrant


On August 2, 2016 at 06:30 a.m., the Terrell Police Department SWAT Team and Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at 844 Betty Drive. Upon arrival officers located several subjects inside the residence including Max Culpepper 32, Amanda Tucker 35 and Linsey Emerson 27. Officers also located two small boys, 9 years of age.

Lawful search of the premises yielded baggies commonly used to package illegal narcotics, used glass pipes used to smoke methamphetamine, a butane lighter used to smoke methamphetamine inside Culpepper’s master bedroom. Officers also located a dirty plastic baggie containing a clear shard-like substance inside a vehicle in the backyard that tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine.

Officers located a purse next to Tucker that contained her picture Texas Identification Card and contained a clear baggie containing a clear shard-like substance that also tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine. Tucker’s purse also contained a small black digital scale, rolling papers, and a clear baggie containing multiple other smaller baggies used to package illegal narcotics and other drug paraphernalia. Also found were three different clear baggies containing blue pills later identified as Diazapam. Emerson was found to be in possession of a used glass pipe smoking device and several small clear baggies and was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and transported to T.P.D. for processing. Tucker was arrested for Manufacture/Delivery CS PG1>=4G<200G and Possession of PG3<28 G. Culpepper called another adult and they arrived on scene and took custody of the two small boys. Culpepper had a class C warrant out of T.P.D. and was arrested for that charge and Manufacture/Delivery CS PG1>=1G<4G. As officers were placing Culpepper into the squad car, he began to resist officers; Culpepper was also charged with Resisting Arrest Search or Transport and was transported to Terrell Municipal Jail. Narcotics Investigators had received information Culpepper was obtaining stolen property at his residence and T.P.D. Detectives arrived on scene and obtained another search warrant at the property and located a stolen drill and a stolen motorcycle frame. The investigation is ongoing and Detectives are still on the scene at the time of this release.
