On August 18, 2016 at 11:53 p.m., the Terrell Police Department Narcotics Unit and members of the Terrell Police Department SWAT Team executed a narcotics search warrant at 107 Oak Drive Terrell, Texas.
Upon entry into the residence, officers located Maria Louisa Ruggiero, 35 years of age and Sarah Dawn Wells 34 years of age.
Ruggiero reported she had methamphetamine inside her bra. A female officer arrived on scene and retrieved the illegal narcotics (2.2 grams) from Ruggiero’s person.
Officers began searching for any illegal narcotics/contraband and located a clear plastic baggie containing a clear shard-like substance (methamphetamine) lying on the bed. Officers also located multiple baggies commonly used to package illegal narcotics, scales with drug residue, glass pipe smoking devices scattered throughout one bedroom. Officers located three different pills (hydrocodone, alprazolam, and clonazepam) in an orange pill bottle inside the vehicle (registered to Maria Ruggiero) that was parked in the street in front of the residence. Officers also located a Lorcin .380 handgun located in one of the bedrooms.
Ruggiero was arrested and charged with Man/Del CS PG1>=4G<200G, 3 counts of Possession of CS PG3<28 G, and Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon and she was transported to Terrell Municipal Jail. Ruggiero was in possession of $3,240.28 in U.S. Currency and Investigators believe this has been used in connection with and is proceeds of illegal narcotics transactions and was lawfully seized. While at T.P.D. the illegal narcotics (methamphetamine) total weighed out to 83.3. grams.
