On Monday August 22, 2016 at 4:00 am, the Terrell Police Responded to a burglary at the Cash Store in the 1800 block of West Moore Avenue. Video recovered from the location showed two male subjects break the window and make entry into the store. Both subjects went to the safe and began taking turns hitting the safe with sledgehammers. Once the safe broke free from being bolted to the floor, one subject picked up the safe and ran towards the back door of the business. The subjects were both male and slim in build. One subject was wearing a black hoodie, black pants and gloves. The other subject was wearing a red or pink hoodie with tan pants and white gloves. Both subjects had their faces covered with some type of mask.
A witness reported a gray Kia SUV parked by the back door of the business. The witness saw one male subject standing beside the vehicle and wearing a dark colored hoodie. The witness saw the vehicle drive away at a high rate of speed. The Dallas Police Department recovered the safe in the area of Plano Road and Interstate 635 that same morning.
