On September 2, 2016 Terrell Police Department Narcotics Investigators received information Ana Rosa was selling illegal narcotics in the city limits of Terrell, Texas. An undercover Terrell Police Department Narcotics Investigator made contact, and arranged to purchase a specified amount of methamphetamine. The suspect was more than willing and a price, time and location were set.
The defendant arrived in the vehicle she had provided a description, at the undisclosed location. She and another male subject met with the unidentified undercover investigator.
An infant was also present during the illegal transaction.
The suspect was in possession of 5 grams in two clear baggies containing a clear shard-like substance (suspected methamphetamine) after committing the offense the officer identified himself and other prepared officers responded and the arrest was made.
Ronnie Brown, 39 years of age, was wanted for active T.P.D. warrants and was arrested without incident and transported to jail. The female was placed under arrest. The infant child was identified and the mother was contacted and took charge of the innocent child.
After entering the T.P.D. jail, the female confessed to further drug possession. She had another baggie of methamphetamine in her bra.
The total weight of all the methamphetamine was 6.3 grams. The suspected methamphetamine was field tested and tested presumptive positive. Rosa was charged with Man/Del CS PG1>=4G<200 G and Abandon Endanger Child Criminal Negligence. Investigators will follow-up with Child Protective Services.
The infant child was determined to be the granddaughter of the arrested female.
